Marco Bernal

Mr. Marco Bernal, School of Archaeology, University of Oxford, UK

Marco completed his BA and MA degrees in Archeology at the University of Seville (Spain). He also took a second MA in Quaternary and Prehistory at the University Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain) and the National Museum of Natural History (Paris, France). Currently, he is a Talentia Scholarship DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford.

Marco has been conducting archaeological research with the Gibraltar Caves Project since 2005 and in several of Iberia´s Palaeolithic cave sites. He is a member of AEQUA (Spanish Association of Quaternary Research). Marco is interested in lithic technology in relation to ecological conditions, climate change and landscape evolution.  He recently participated in the survey and excavations work at Dawadmi.
